Tell Congress: No More Global Warming

The best way to combat global warming is by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The United States is responsible for more global warming pollution than any other nation, so we need to start here at home. Two pieces of legislation moving through Congress right now aim to limit the amount of pollution caused by some of the worst culprits: power plants and automobiles. Take action now and tell your representatives to vote to stop climate change.

The two current bills we are asking you to write to your representatives about are the Global Warming Pollution Reduction Act (S. 309), which mandates cuts in global warming pollution, and the Safe Climate Act of 2007 (HR. 1590), which mandates a flexible economy wide cap-and-trade program for greenhouse gas emissions, along with measures to advance technology and reduce emissions thorugh renewable energy, energy efficiency and cleaner cars.
